Museum for Pre- and Early History
The presentation of the new permanent exhibition includes the historical collection holdings of the Museum of Prehistory and Early History, the current excavation results of Berlin's urban archaeology and the chronological sequence of the prehistoric cultures Stone Age, Bronze Age and pre-Roman Iron Age. The tour through the six halls of the exhibition was redesigned.
In the exhibition architecture, continuity was ensured throughout the museum by means of the selected high-quality materials and their color space. The display cases and exhibition structures were each developed with reference to the specific requirements for the presentation of the topics of prehistory and early history. In the exhibition design, the focus was on the vivid communication of the contents through individual planning of the showcase images and the close interaction of exhibit, text and information graphics.
The new permanent exhibition of the Museum of Prehistory and Early History has been re-opened to the public since June 2014
