The design is characterised by the association of a water surface modelled by individual striking drops. This communicates the subject of utilisation to the building’s shell and deflects the structural character. Funnel-shaped concrete columns are used as stilts and carry the arched concrete roof. The free design creates a special feeling of space and offers an exciting contrast to the orthogonal geometry of the building and the severe geometric pools in the swimming areas. Circumferential glass facades open up a view into the adjacent outdoor pool area and create a bright atmosphere in the building. All of the sport and leisure pools are oriented towards the outdoor pool. The new wellness garden extends the outdoor pool to the south-west and the various opportunities for leisure activity create an attractive complement to the pool and relax areas in the north.
